Hmmm. How do I feel about Djs mixing music that is dear to my heart...

I have recently experienced some hip new mixes of my favourite songs done by Djs that have included new beats and such, I don't know the lingo.... but I certainly don't know how I feel about this new sound... I suppose like anything, it'll take some getting used to... O how I love Phoenix, I think I'll keep my Phoenix cd in my cd player and scrap the new mixes... ya that's right, my cd player.
Check out the link below and let me know how you feel! maybe you'll agree... ?

What a Perfect Friday, except...

So as I walked home from the bus stop today, I was enjoying the bright, warm sun, the crisp fall air, and the fact that my jacket was actually not buttoned up. Right when I got home, I went out to my balcony to soak up what turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. Gazing around at the bare trees and clear sky, my delightful scene was destroyed by what floated by in the river.
I really don't know what it was, it wasn't ice because it was plus 10 out, so I assumed it was some sort of sewer dumpage or garbage or something that isn't natural. All I can say is that the river was and is very nasty, and with me having such a nice view, it is really too bad I have to watch the "shitty" river flow by my apartment everyday. Imagine a city where the rivers were clean and dead things and sewer were not flowing in it. That would be amazing, but I guess you gotta put up with it all. Man kind did it right, I guess we can't complain... eventhough I wish the river never got this bad... damn it Winnipeg and surrounding areas.. what have we done..!

Projector Online!

Andrew Kress, Kimberlee Lawson, Maeghan Heinrichs and myself are doing some research for our PR class regarding the benefits of having the school newspaper, the Projector, online.
It'd be awesome if you could just fill out this simple survey that shouldn't take more than a minute. We'd really appreciate it! Just click the link below and begin, thanks everybody!

Remember this?

As I was walking back from a downtown club yesterday evening, and which was not an overly good club at that, Mystique... I was reminded of how lucky we all are that it hasn't snowed yet. Yes the evenings are a bit crisp and chilly but the grass is still somewhat green and the temperatures still being delightfully nice. Yeah! Winnipeg is actually having some enjoyable temperatures? I can't believe it... Do you all remember when it was the first snowfall of the year and it was a blizzard? I remember everyone was still out and about, going to bars that night, driving to parties out of town and me, I sat at home. I called er quits. I got my blanket and curled up on the couch preparing myself for the long and bone chilling winter. But then the next couple days, the snow was gone and my flats were busted out and my winter boots put away for below 0 temperatures. Be Happy Winnipeg because this is the only time of year that the temperatures have actually be on our side for once!
